Our Mission

It is a non-profit organisation that deals directly with the survivors of Gender base Violence. We provide a long term accommodation to the victims. During their stay in the organisation they are provided with the skills development programs which will be mostly an income Generation programme which will help the survivors to pave their way forward and bring back the sense of independency since the rate of unemployment is becoming higher in the country.

The need for the organisation emanated after looking very closely at the trend of victim –survivors of GBV who once gets admitted in the shelters of abused woman. Most of them their abusers are their intimate partners and the same abuser being the sole provider in the house.

Since we know that the shelters are not permanent we have discovered that those survivors when they get discharged they go back to their abusive partners. The reason being not having anywhere to go and some of them they threw themselves in the relationships because of lacking financial support or having no biological families due to various circumstances. And when they go back to their abusive partner they feel more in power and continue where they left off, and in that sense the victim does not feel a need to even seek help at all.

Therefore this organisation will make sure that the survivors are not tapping into the hands of perpetrators and being trapped with secondary abuse in their desperation of shelter. It will also bring hope and the sense of belonging to those who are in need.
